Begegnung, Erfahrung und kritische Auseinandersetzung
Im Herbst 2015 wird eine neue Entwicklungsagenda beschlossen. Um die Aufmerksamkeit auf dieses Ereignis zu lenken ernannte die EU 2015 zum Europäischen Jahr für Entwicklung (EYD). Ziel des EYD ist, die UnionsbürgerInnen über die Entwicklungszusammenarbeit der EU und ihrer Mitgliedstaaten zu informieren und ihr Interesse und Engagement für dieses Thema zu fördern. Entwicklungspolitik soll als globale gesamtgesellschaftliche Aufgabe verständlich und sichtbar gemacht werden. In einer Auftaktveranstaltung Ende Jänner eröffnete Bundesminister Sebastian Kurz das Jahr in Österreich. Dabei hatten SchülerInnen und LehrerInnen Gelegenheit, in Erlebnisstationen Themen, Maßnahmen und Hintergründe rund um Entwicklungszusammenarbeit und humanitäre Hilfe interaktiv zu erfahren.
