Präsentation der Publikation "Österreichischen Entwicklungspolitik 2016" und Diskussion.
Im Rahmen der Präsentation der Publikation „Österreichischen Entwicklungspolitik 2016“ lädt die ÖFSE zu einer Diskussion über das Thema „Fluchtbedingte Migration – Herausforderung für die EZA“ ein.
Bezugnehmend auf das die europäische und auch die österreichische Politik seit dem Herbst 2015 dominierende Thema der Bewältigung der Migration aus den Kriegsgebieten des Nahen Ostens und verschiedenen Schnittstellen zur Entwicklungspolitik und zur Entwicklungszusammenarbeit (EZA) möchten wir mit ExpertInnen diskutieren, ob Entwicklungszusammenarbeit den Erwartungen und Herausforderungen überhaupt gerecht werden kann, die von der Politik an sie gerichtet werden. Vor dem Hintergrund der im September 2015 beschlossenen Sustainable Development Goals – SDGs, dem Hintergrund humanitärer Anforderungen innerhalb der Europäischen Union (EU) und dem Hintergrund von empirischen Ergebnissen über den konkreten Zusammenhang zwischen Migration und Entwicklung stellen sich Fragen auf verschiedenen Ebenen: Kann durch Armutsreduktion Migration tatsächlich reduziert werden? Was kann Entwicklungszusammenarbeit/ Entwicklungspolitik zur Bekämpfung von Migrationsursachen beitragen? Wird durch die Verknüpfung von Migration und EZA die Entwicklungszusammenarbeit instrumentalisiert? Was müssen wir konkret schaffen? Welche Rolle hat die Zivilgesellschaft bei der Bewältigung von Migration? Welche Reformen einer europäischen Flüchtlingspolitik bräuchte es?
